Information You Enter
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the third-party service that returns the result. Lathrop Residents Directory keeps no copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you email us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Routine Server Information
Our host may keep standard server logs such as an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time stamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which Lathrop reference pages are used. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How the Data Is Used
We use the limited information above to operate the service, fix faults, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell visitor lists or build a profile of an individual visitor.
Links Beyond This Service
Pages may point to San Joaquin County and California records portals, court resources, library collections, archives, or third-party search tools. The destination's privacy policy controls what you submit there. That distinction matters for sponsored search results, which are provided by another company.
Who May Process It
Hosting and support vendors may process the server logs needed to run the service. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure, and otherwise limit access to the purposes stated here.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. There are no user accounts here, so this service does not hold a password or visitor profile that could be exposed.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor may have sent information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
California Privacy Choices
The California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code §§ 1798.100-1798.199.100, provide qualifying rights to know or access, correct, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing, subject to exceptions. Because Lathrop Residents Directory keeps very little, a request can usually be checked against the contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page to ask.
The Delete Act, Civil Code §§ 1798.99.80 et seq., created the California Privacy Protection Agency's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform (DROP) for requests directed to registered data brokers. It does not remove a deed, court file, voter record, or other source record held by a public custodian. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §§ 7920.000-7931.000, is a public-records access law, not the consumer privacy law described above. Under Government Code § 7922.535, an agency generally makes an initial determination within 10 calendar days, with a possible written extension of up to 14 days; the Act does not require creating a record or answering questions.
Safe at Home, under Government Code §§ 6205-6211, can provide eligible participants a substitute mailing address and confidential voter registration. It does not automatically erase information that was already public. Requests about records held by California, San Joaquin County, or Lathrop offices must go to the custodian.
